Commentary:
The City recently received
ved payment in full from Beneficial Mortgage
on real estate located at 272 Essex Street. Payment was for all
outstanding taxes and sewer charges, and Beneficial requested that
the property be deeded back to the taxpayer.
Because all of the real estate and sewer lien have matured, this
Order would authorize the release of the City's interest in the
property to Ms. Mitchell. There are no code issues with the
property.
The Finance Committee recommended approval at its February 1, 1999

TB.IT Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 272 Essex Street in said Bangor by virtue of
matured real estate and sewer liens recorded in the Penobscot
Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Sandra
Mitchell, a copy of said deed being attached hereto.

MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
paid, releases to SANDRA MITCHELL, of Bangor, Penobscot County,
Maine, as Grantee, the property located in Bangor, Penobscot
County, Maine, more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Real estate located at 272 Essex Street in said
Bangor, and described in a deed recorded in
Volume 5504, Page 284, Penobscot Registry of
Deeds. This property Is further designated as
Assessor's Map 47, Lot 62A, real estate account
number 22533.
Any and all other rights, easements, privileges
and appurtenances belonging to the granted
estate are hereby conveyed.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any
Interest the Grantor may have in the above-described property by
Virtue of undischarged real estate tax and sewer liens assessed
against Sandra Mitchell and recorded in Book 6140, Page 121; Book
6222, Page 7; Book 6308, Page 244; Book 6407. Page 120; and Book
6425, Page 321, Penobscot Registry of Deeds.
All public easements or other public interests in the
described premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are
expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument t0 be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HILLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of February, 1999.
