Commemhry: Labor negotiations with approximately 37 (2 full-time, 35 part-time) Passenger Service
Agents and Security Seaeeers at Bangor Itdematioml Airport have reached in a tentative agreement
betwmn the City and Union Negotiation Commiitces. The Union ratified the agreement on December
28th. This is the tint collective bargaining concession for this union which formed m February of 1998.
Major points of significance include: correct team ofthroe yams -July 1, 1998 to Sum 30, 2001; wage
increases of2%year oma, 2% you even and 3% you dune (anless a higherperce"gen provided to non-
uoim employees to any year); continuation of the cannot health insurance cost sharing formula; holiday
pay, at time and onahalffn part-time employees who actually work on scheduled holidays; amatedure to
select lead agents and security screener supervisors and a $75 annual allowance for clothing and related
work items.
The proposed agreement is within the previously established Council bargaining guidelines and this is the
seventh agreement completed this year. The agreement is presented with the recommendation of the
Management Negotiation Committee (Harty Conceals, Bob Ziegelaer, JeffRmeell, Heidi Sukaski) and I
recommend its approval as well.
