Commentary:
The Treasurer's office has received payment in the amount of $2800+
from the owners of real estatelocated at 83 Parker Street for
1996, 1997 and 1998 tax liens, the first half of the 1999 taxes,
together with the quitclaim fee. There is a small balance due on
the sewer account. Because the 1996 lien has matured, a municipal
quitclaim deed is required. This Order would authorize the release
of the City's interest in the property by virtue of the matured
1996 tax lien. The Treasurer's office will prepare and record
discharge documents for the 1997 and 1998 tax liens.
There are code issues with the property. The Finance Committee
recommended approval at its December Rh meeting.

THAT Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf Of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 83 Parker Street in said Bangor by virtue of an
undischarged real estate tax lien recorded in Book 6166, Page 90,
Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Donald
s Rosalie G. Shepherd, a copy of said deed being attached hereto.

The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Granter, for consideration
paid, releases t0 DONALD & ROSALIE G. SHEPHERD, as Grantees, of
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, all its right, title and interest
in and to certain property located in sail Bangor and more
particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 83 Parker Street in
said
Bangor and further described in Volume 5675,
Page 227, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said
property is further designated as City real
estate account number 35643, Assessor's Map 35,
Lot 67.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for the year
1996 by virtue Of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of
Deeds in Book 6144, Page 90.
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the
City may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid
real estate taxes assessed against Donald & Rosalie G. Shepherd,
for the year 1996. All public easements at other public interests
in the described premises for roads, sewers, Or other purposes are
expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signal in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereinto duly authorized, this
day of December, 1998.
