HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-11-23 99-16 ORDERCOUNCIL ACTION Item No. 99-16 Date November 23. 1998 Item/Subject: Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed -- Real Estate Located at 80 Elm Street Responsible Department Legal The property located at 80 Elm Street, formerly owned by Roy Turner, has a matured 1996 and non -matured 1997 and 1996 tax liens recorded against it totaling in excess of $5,000. In addition, there are outstanding personal property taxes. Joseph Perry, current owner r of the property, has had a workout agreement with the City in the past but failed to make several payments. Mr. Perry will seek refinancing in order to pay the City all outstanding charges. There are two buildings on this lot. One is placarded and the other is Mr. Perry's residence. Mr. Perry has been working with the Code Enforcement Officer to bring bath properties up to code.
