Item/Subject Amending Chapter I1, Article 14, Section 10 of the
Laws A Ordinances -- False Alarms
Responsible Department: Fire/Legal
The Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor, Chapt. I1, Art. 14,
Sec. 30 currently provide that one who gives a false alarm of fire
shall reimburse the costs associated with the Fire Department in
responding to the alarm. However, there is no provision for
determining those costs. This amendment allows the Fire Chief to
set a schedule of fees which will include the cost of equipment and
manpower.
