Earlier this month the Treatment Plant received full payment of
outstanding sewer charges against property located at 4 old orchard
Drive owned by Dorothy C. Currier. The lien was recorded in March,
1996. Because the lien has matured, a municipal quitclaim deed is
necessary to release the City's interest. The bank has requested
that the deed be directed to Federal National Mortgage Association,
successor in interest to Ms. Currier.
The Finance Committee recommended approval at its meeting held on
November 17th.

Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 9 Old Orchard Drive in said Bangor by virtue of a
matured municipal sewer charge lien recorded in Book 6065, Page
150, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to
the Federal National Mortgage Association, successor in interest to
Dorothy C. Currier.

The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
paid, releases to the FEDERAL NATIONAL MORTGAGE ASSOCIATION, Of
Dallas, Texas, successor in interest t0 Dorothy C. Currier, as
Grantee, a certain lot or parcel of land together with any
improvements thereon, situated in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine,
more particularly described as follows, viz:
Lot IOA according to a plan of land entitled
"Penobscot Estates, Section 2" as prepared by
Andrew J. Shyka dated June 1, 1996, and recorded
n the Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Map File D
903-76.
The above described Lot SOA is a portion of Lot
10 as set forth on a plan entitled "General
Services Administration, Real Property Division,
Boston, Mass., Street Locations, Bangor, Maine,
Capehart Housing Annex 2, Right-of-way Survey
1-2" by Alberti LaRcchelle 6 Hodson Engineering
Corp., Inc. recorded in said Registry of Deeds,
Map File Number 3.
Being the same premises as described in a
Warranty Deed from Louis Steinbach to Alexander
J. Currier and Dorothy C. Currier, dated ---,
1983 and recorded in Book 3383, Page 97,
Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Further reference
may be had to a deed from the United States of
America to Anthony J. Pivirotto dated October
16, 1972, and recorded in said Registry in
Volume 2314, Page 2D6; a deed from Anthony James
Pivirotto dated October 16, 1972, recorded in
said Registry in Volume 2727, Page 16; and a
deed from Anthony J. Pivirotto dated August 31,
1979, and recorded in said Registry in Volume
3020, Page 75.
Any and all other rights, easements, privileges
and appurtenances belonging to the granted
estate are hereby conveyed.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any
interest the Grantor may have in the above described property by
virtue of a sewer lien recorded in Book 6065, Page 150, Penobscot
Registry Of Deeds. All public easements or other public interests
n the described premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are
expressly reserved.

The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate none by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of November, 1997.'
