Commentary:
The Federal Aviation Administration has agreed to continue leasing
Bldg. 496 (Maine Avenue) from the Airport Department. The Airport
Committee has reviewed and approved the lease agreement which
includes a new rate structure. The FAA uses the facility for its
technical maintenance activities for the northern New England
region.
Under the new lease agreement the rate has been increased from
$66,825/ya.($5,568.75/mo) to $72,375/yr. ($6031.25/mo). The new
term is for one year with 3 successive one year options and covers
a 7500 sqft. portion of the approximately 10,000 sgft. building.
