Update from the Bangor Mall Manager: James Gerety Industry overview, generational trends, 2005 was the apex of the baby boomers spending, Generation X still increasing until approx. 2019. The millennial generation has increased spending on experience, food, adventure. The overview of retail trends nationally is important to understand as the Bangor Mall looks to the future. 2. Commission on Cultural Development Grant Recommendation – Bangor Historical Society’s Drums on the Penobscot: A Civil War Experience. Councilor Perry moved staff recommendation for grant approval, Councilor Graham seconded. Vote unless doubted, no doubt. 3. Commission on Cultural Development Grant Recommendation – Penobscot Theatre Co.’s Dramatic Academy Summer Session 2: Something Wicked This Way Comes. Councilor Perry moved staff recommendation for grant approval, Councilor Graham seconded. Vote unless doubted, no doubt. Changes to the Commission on Cultural Development Grant Application Process: Councilor Perry moved staff recommendation, Councilor Graham seconded. Vote unless doubted, no doubt. (Councilor Graham did request that staff work to ensure photography of any events and art funded by the CCD, and updates to the committee on completed projects as per their required reports.) 4. Proposed Changes to Residential Rehabilitation Loan Program – Policies & Procedures Manual. Councilor Graham moved staff recommendation, Councilor Perry seconded. Vote unless doubted, no doubt.
