HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-01-22 01-93 ORDERCOUNCIL ACTION OJ -93 Date: mtevronm Item No.: Item/Subject: Establishing Bangor Landing Backing Fees for 2001 Responsible Department: Engineering Commentary: The attached Council Order establishes a new fee schedule for 2001 for use of the City docks at Ne waterfront. The short-term dock rates were increased last year to be comparable facilities and remained unchanged for 2001. A new weekly rate is included, which is six times the daily rate. The long-term rate structure has been changed in two ways: 1) the prime season (3 month) rates have been eliminated. This rate was established many years ago when interest was low to allract boaters with a lower rate. With demand now high, it is not advantageous to reserve dock space and only receive revenue for part of the season. 2) the individual rates have changed slightly and are similar to last year's full season rats With these two changes, annual revenue is projected to increase by at least 10 percent.
