Mr. Graham has agreed to hold his current paces for the three-year period. The City awarded a three year contract to Evergreen in July 2000 without the usual option to extend for two or three years because Evergreen had just started business and had no track record for service. From the beginning Evergreen has provided excellent service to the City and they have been very responsive to the City's requirements. As Mr. Graham states in his letter, Evergreen has been very competitive in their pricing and they have saved the City a considerable amount of money. I recommend that the Finance Committee extend the contract for the three-year period as requested. This Award was reviewed by the Finance Committee on July 9, 2003, and referred to the City Council for final approval.
