HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-05-23 11-167 RESOLVEItem No, a t 167 Date: 5-23-11 Item/SubjeRe Resolve, Accepting and Appropriating $25,000 in grant funds from the Maine State Planning Office for Construction of a Composting Facility on Finson Road Responsible Department: Public Worcs On April 5, 2011 the Inbastruc[ure Committee approved applying for a $25,000 grant from the Maine State Planning ice to construct an above ground composting facility, If approved this resolve will appropriate a $25,000 grant as well as authorize $10,000 of in kind services for the construction of a new composting facility on Pinson Road. The benefits of this facility is that it will consolidate leaf composting operations at the Anson Road site, eliminate the need to utilize the Griffin Road site for composting, and greatly reduce the area of exposed ground surface affecting storm water quality in the area.
