At this fair abandoned bicycles a sold bicycle safety training is provided. In the past, the Noontime Brewers Club hear purchased bicycle safety helmets for distribution to children. For the pest two years we have received .a $2,000 grant from the Bureau of Highway Safety to use [ward the purchase of hehrets. In order to take advantage of the grant, the City of Bangor accepted a donation of $2.700 in 1995 and $2,000 in 1996 from the Branches Brussels Club, which vase used as ash match for the grant. Over 400 helmets were given away to children at each, year's event. Again this year we have an opportunity to apply for up to $2,000 in funding through the Bureau of Highway Safety. This year the Noontime Kiwanis will agree to donate $2,000 which will be used for our cash Batch requirement.
