For Meeting Held on February 22, 2024 at 5:15 p.m.
Members Present:Jordan LaBouff, Robin Perkins, Edward Gould (Chair), Rachel Thompson, and Donald McCann (Associate Member).
Staff Present:David Szewczyk, City Solicitorand Grace Innis, Assistant City Solicitor.
Introductions:
Chair Gould opened the hearing and introduced members.
Approval of Minutes:
January 31, 2024:
Member LaBouffmade a motion to approve the meeting minutes.
Member Thompson seconded the motion.
Motion passedunanimously (5-0).
Public Hearing -Consideration of an appeal of a Code Enforcement Officer’s Notice of Violation – The Heritage Building Associates (15 Columbia Street):
City of Bangor Code Enforcement Officer Jeff Wallace requested a continuance of the hearing in order to further investigate a forthcoming engineering report.
Casey Olesen represented the applicant and consented to the continuance.
Board of Appeals voted on the matter.
Member Thompson made a motion to grant a continuance of the public hearing to allow the Code Enforcement Officer time to further investigate the engineering report. Associate Member
McCann seconded the motion.Motion passed unanimously (5-0).
Public Hearing - Request for Reasonable Accommodation Under the federal Fair Housing Act from the requirement of §165-13(B), which limits the number of unrelated people living at the
property to five - Bangor Friends of Affordable Housing (17 Fifteenth Street):
Michael Tuller spoke as the applicant and President of Bangor Friends of Affordable Housing and presented his request for variance.The applicant advised the Board that he made a last-minute
decision to transfer ownership of the property. As a result, he withdrew his application.

None.
Meeting adjourned.
Member Thompson made a motion to Adjourn.
Member Perkins seconded the motion.
Motion passed unanimously (5-0) to adjourn.
