O'Donnell,J. Comstock, D. Laurie, R. Carr, L. Goodwin, E. Pelletier,T. Higgins The meeting was held both in-person and remotely via ZOOM (with roll-call vote) and was called to order by Chair Sue Hawes at 5:48 pm. 1. Council Resolve— Ratifying Staff action by Bangor Public Health and Community Services to Apply for grant funding in the amount of$35,850 for the Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Distribution Program Robin Carr of Bangor Public Health & Community Services gave an overview of this item. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Tremble, seconded by Councilor Davitt, all in favor. 2. Council Order—Approval to apply for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program for $300,323 for the purpose of sending eight employees to Paramedic school Fire Chief Tom Higgins and Deputy Fire Chief Eric Pelletier provided an overview of this order. They've had great success applying through this program before. They explained how funding will be a great asset to the department and allow us to begin catching up with schooling that was paused during the pandemic. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Tremble, seconded by Councilor Yacoubagha, all in favor. 3. Ordinance Referral: City Elections—Changing the timeframe for the availability of nomination papers and petitions City Clerk Lisa Goodwin explained that the change in timeframe would align with the City's charter and comply with State law. A motion to approve and move to full Council was made by Councilor Tremble, seconded by Councilor Yacoubagha, all in favor. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:15 pm.
