Election of Officers 2. 109 Leiqhton Street— James and Elizabeth Coffev For consideration of an administrative and variance appeal to convert existing attic space to habitable space at 109 Leighton Street, Bangor, Maine. Absent major reconstruction to the home the attic stairway does not meet minimum headroom. The applicant requests relief asserting the modifications to the existing stairway is equally as good or better form of construction as allowed for in Section 112 of the International Residential Code. � (At the June 23, 2004 meeting, the Board of Appeals denied the administrative appeal request that there was an error in decision and a misinterpretation of the code by a vote of 1 in favor and 3 against. In reference to the variance appeal, the Board of Appeals voted to remand back to the Code Enforcement Office and to table to a future meeting with the request of the applicant to provide better drawings and for Code to address all code issues based on new drawings. The variance appeal was tabled 4 to 0.) � The next scheduled meeting of the Board is Wednesday, July 21, 2004.
