1. Sewer Abatement
Longrale Park Apt 320
Vance Aloupis, owner of Longrale Park, wrote to Brad Moore indicating that the
water consumption in one of the buildings had tripled. Upon checking, it was
discovered that the flapper was open on one of the toilets. The tenant was away
for the winter and the problem went undetected. Brad indicated that this meets
the requirements for abatement. If the abatement were approved, the amount
would be $866.95. Approved.
2. Status of Projects
♦ Jim Ring indicated that the tank project is done except for some clean up
needed which will be completed soon.

remote sites.
♦ At the last Council meeting, the bid was approved for the upcoming Union
Street separation project. ]im showed the Committee the plans for the
project. Another large separation project is in the Center Street area. This
project is approximately $1.5 million and will not be an easy project. It had
been held off until the Broadway project was complete. Area residents are
being given information ahead of time so it is expected. The project will be
done in 2 phases and will begin some time mid-August.
3. date - Staff Activities
♦ The DEP asked Brad to be a part of a stakeholders group looking into the
mercury situation that the state is going through. He will keep the
Committee informed of any new developments on this issue.
♦ The Department of Human Services also contacted Brad regarding a group
being put together for the Kenduskeag stream dealing with the uses in and
