The purpose was to try to pin down . . 2/ specific costs that Staff felt they could expect given the assumptions that they were presented with. $1-2 million is the figure being considered by the City to subsidize construction on the $4- 4 %z million stadium if the Council approves. Three scenarios were put together-most optimistic, least optimistic and somewhere in the middle. The impact of these results on the local tax rate (without debt service) for the best scenario is that it would defray taxes about a nickel per$1,000 of evaluation; the middling scenario basically no impact on the tax rate; worst scenario it would be about a nickel in increased taxes to go to support operations. Ron further reviewed scenarios on possible other events to be held in the stadium such as concerts; number of suites to be sold-varied between 3 and 4; concession revenues; and parking revenues which would add 50 cents to the ticket price. Discussion followed on the various scenarios and temporary site options for the Blue Ox. With respect to a permanent location, County Commissioner Peter Baldacci urged Councilors and Committee members to select one of the sites behind the grandstand for the stadium rather than on the race track, which all were in agreement to. Councilor Tyler called to adjourn the meeting at 6:00 PM. The next Stadium Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 4:00 PM. • rP
