Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of5to0. Item No.2 635 State Street(Waterworks)- EMMC To consider an application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for removal of Building #1 (filter house), to replace the existing slate roof with asphalt shingles, and to install new windows and doors. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 4 to 1 with the following conditions: 1) Applicant will save samples of architectural materials,structures, and internal features from building #1 (the filter house), either for display in the Maine State Museum or for display on site, including but not limited to cross sections of the floor structure and slate shingles, and, . Applicant will consult with the Maine State Museum on the issue of preserving these -1- � ; samples; � 2) Applicant will seriously consider using and/or reusing slate to reshingle building#3 on all four sides,or to reshingle the portions of buildings 3,4, and 2 which are visible from the road; 3) The new vinyl windows will be medallion bronze in color and not white; and 4) The paint on the trim will be the amended color of dark green.
