B. Superintendent Betsy Webb requested adding D?.e. Candidates' Night Update and E.l.f �
MSBA Business Friend oFEducation Award Nominatioa.
VOTED 6-0 to amend the Agenda as reyuested. �
C. Citizen.Paui LeClair,of G66 Finsan Road,Bangor,addressed the committec w'sth his concerns
� regarding the budget. �
D. 3. a. Superintendent Webb shared the staws of the state assessment system.

b. Director of Business Services Alan Kochis pravided a Summer Projects Update of the �

renovations and repairs made to the Bangor schaols and facilities.
Member Guerette expressed appreciation for the staff s dedication and hard w�rk to get things �
ready for ths opening oP school and asked about the repair work al ths William S. Cohen
Schflol.
c. Directar of Business Services Kachis pmvided a Budget Review of the Vaaational Educa[ian, �
Technology,Community 5chool,and PupilServices div2sions.
d. Superirtendent Webb reparted the following extra-duty rcassignment: ,

d. Superintendent Webb reported ttfe following donations:

school supplies,having a total dollar value c�f$750.

It Forward account,having a total dollar value of$200.

f. Superintendent Webb recommended nominating Bangor Savings Bank for the MSHA
Business Friend af Education Awarci.

� F. 1. Member Guerette noted items and event� from some of the Schoal Department's newsletters
inctuding volunteer training oppartunitias and the excitement of the opening of school. She
also shared the value of attending th�Maine School Management Fa�l Conference.
� 2. Member Szal reported that the United Technology Center's Huard had met. The school is up
and running with a large enrollmen� Adjustrnents to programs are being warked out and
� students are offered aptions when a pragram is at capacity. She also shared that Director Fred
Waotiman and Mrs.Gimmel were bath retiring at ihe end of the year. The committee will�ie
busy witti working to Snd replacements far these important rotes.
� I. Chairman Caru.so noted the importance of celebrating the school departmeat's success. At
every level, the Bangor School Department is recognized for managing resources well and
students' achievement levels are notable.
� J. By roll call vote 5-0, the Committee entered E,xecutive Sessian for the purpose of discussion
regarding cotlective bargaining with the Administratars' Bargaining Unit according to I
MRSA subsectian 40�(6){D)at 7.55 p.m.
� Entered Pubtic Sessian at 8�I p.m.
