School Committee Mernbers present: Chaurnan Warren Caruso, Marc Eastman, Phyllis Guerette, Susan �
Hawes,Christine Szal,and Jay Ye.Niember Sarah Smitey was unable ta attend.
A. i&2 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Caruso at 7:0�p.m.and the Pledge af Allegiance �
followed.
D.2. a. Superintendent Webb reported the following retirarnents: �

b. Superintendent Webb provided an updata on the Maine School Superintendents Association �
VVinter Convocation and the American Association of Schoai Administratar's 2014 Legislative
Agenda. �
Cammittee members asked questians and commented on the various edacational topics.
c. Superintendent Webb shared that revenue estimate from the Department of Education has been �
held up and that she will keep the Committee informed.

the January 23,2UI4 Regular School Committee Meeting.
b, Superintendent Webb reported the following donations: �
To Downeast Schaol from Winterberry Heights Knitting Club, handmade scarves and mittens,
having a total dollar value of$150.
To Mary Snow Schoal from the Mary Snow School PTO, fourteen ower stri s/sur e �

protectors for classroom laptops,having a total dollar value of$15p.
To Mary Snow School from Ruth Ellen Coffey, a cash danatlon for the Art Department, in °, �

To Mary Snow Schaol from an anonymous donor, two sets of winter coats, hats and glaves, �
having a total dollar value of$350.
To Mary Snaw Schoal from Mary Snow Schoal PTO,a bulletin baard for tha school lobby ta ,
display student art wock,having a total dollar value of$232.71.
VOTED 6-U to approve the donations with thanks. �

F. 1. Committee Members Szal and Guerette commented on the design and the content of the scho�l
newsletters. Committee Member Guerette further shared information regarding PreK and
� Kindergarten registrations {Tuesday, March 4ttt, from 47 p.m.} and the STEM educational
activities at the elementary level.
� H. 1. Chairman Cazuso reviewed the impartant dates.
� I. By roll cail vote(G-0)the Committee entered executive session for the purpuse of reviewing a
student's recards accarding to 20-A M.R.S.A. §540I at 7:47 p.m.
The Cammittee returned to public session at 8:21 p.m.
