DMINITION
Mie is responsible administrative week in directing and coordinating
the personnel program for the City.
An employee in this class is responsible for administering the central
personnel program to provide competent city employees and to promote desirable
and adequate conditions of employment. Work involves administering the tech-

DEFINITION
This is responsible field and clerical work in orooming real estate and
personal property appraisal data.
An employee in this class is responsible for assisting in the appraisal
of real estate and personal property through field visite anal office opera,
tiers. Work may involve considerable public contact in assisting the general
public with specific information pertaining to appraisal and assessment
policies. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and
departmental rules and regulations subject to the renAew of the Chairman of

DEFINITION
This is highly responsible professional and administrative work in the
direction of the municipal environmental sanitation program.
An employee in thin class is responsible for planning, directing, and
administering the municipal program of environmental sanitation as a major
part of the general public health program. Policies are established in
cooperation with the Director of Public Health and the primary responsi-
bilities of an employee of this class consist oP the interpretation and
implementation ofpolicy and over-all administration of the program.
Supervision is exercised over moderate sized staff of technical and
clerical subordinates. Work is reviewed by the Director of Public Health

An employee in this class is responsible for its performance of office duties
taking much of the weight of detail from the City Librarian by supervising the
fiscal office work of the library and by transmitting, interpreting, and following
up on policy decisions. An employee in this class exerts only representative
authority, specifically or tacitly delegated, over other employees. Work is sub-
ject to general or specific instructions and advice, depending on nature of
