Minutes
The meeting was opened at 8:32am with the following members present:
Jane Bragg, Tristine Currier, Andrea LIttlefield, Edythe Dyer, Ed Chernesky, Mary Donovan, Tristin
Greenlaw, Betsy Lundy (City staff liaison), Cory Weston (City Council member)
Also present: Lovern Stockwell (pending official appointment)
Absent: Amy Roeder, Liam Riordan, Owen Smith
MOVED, SECONDED and VOTED to approve March 1 minutes
Annual Budget Request - $15,000 plus $2,500 for cultural inventory to be requested. Jane to coordinate
with Betsy to finalize document
Motion to Approve $17,500 budget request: Andrea

Cultural Asset Survey
Goal: To create a comprehensive inventory of Ban cultural assets and to present the information in a
readily accessible format in be used by citizens and visitors alike. Andrea to reach out to area schools to
see if a student or group of students might take this on as a project. Betsy to develop a spread sheet to be
used by the person(s) who will do the inventory.
Motion to Authorize Andrea to find a student group to work on list of cultural assets: Edmund
Second: Tristine

Arts and Cultural Policy
Members are asked to review the edited version distributed for possible discussion at the May meeting.
May Cycle Grants
Several inquiries have come in. Commissioners are asked to help publicize the grants.
Goals for the coming year
Review the mandate and make adjustments to our charge to send revised document to
the Council for approval
Plan and execute a successful Artober program to include but not be limited to a kick-off at the BAE
on the first Friday of the month - Liam to chair kick-off event
Complete a listing of public arts and monuments - Andrea to pursue the possibility of finding students
to do this. Betsy to prepare spread sheet
Establish better visibility through social media - Andrea
Begin review of the policy/strategic plan
Review May and November grant applicants and make recommendations to City Council
