Summary This Ordinance amends the qualifications of the Firearms Discharge Committee by eliminating the requirements that 1/3rd of the members be residents of firearms discharge zone two and that another 1/3r6 of the members hold a hunting license. For some time, the City has had trouble filling vacancies on its Firearms Discharge Committee. It then replaces those requirements with the requirements that one member be a resident of said zone two and one member hold a hunting license. The goal of this ordinance is to maintain the different perspectives of the committee and, at the same time, increase the likelihood of finding qualified committee members.
