Public comment through Zoom requires a person to state their name and address, any inappropriate or offensive remarks may be removed, and the Council Chair will have discretion over the time allowed for comment. The public maybe recognized to speak by the hand wave function or, on a phone, by pressing *9. PUBLIC COMMENT Samantha Bullard,Kimberly Hammil,Joshua Coppola, Whitney Parrish, Bryan Double,Brian Pitman,Kate Liberman spoke against homeless encampment sweeps and asked that more be done to address the problem of homelessness. Joshua Hiatt,Penobscot County Chair of Republican Party,relayed what he had heard from others regarding election day that poll watchers were too far away from the tables, no public restrooms, and not enough security. He wondered if anyone was entertaining a recount due to the close margins. Stephen Brough was pleased with the progress in Pickering Square and wanted to know if the option of using students to work on the project had been considered to reduce costs and give the students experience.
