HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-10-28 19-420 Order 10/28/201919-420 10/28/2019 19-420 Police Order N/A Title, Order Authorizing Execution of a Contract with Radio Communications Management Inc in the Amount of $146,717 for the Acquisition of Dispatch Consoles On October 2, 2019, the City received three (3) bids to replace its existing dispatch consoles, 3 of which are located at the Police Department and 2 are located in the mobile command truck. Bid prices ranged from $146,717 - $318,000. After reviewing the proposed equipment and checking provider references, staff recommendation is to award the bid to Radio Communications Management, Inc, the low bidder, in the amount of $146,717. Staff also recommends entering into a three year maintenance contract with the vendor, the first year maintenance is under warranty so there is no cost. Year two costs are $19,395 and year three cost is $20,855. Future maintenance contract costs will be included in the respective operating budgets. Funding for this project is split between the City and Homeland Security Grant funds. The Police Department consoles were previously funded through the City's budget process and the mobile command truck consoles will be funded with Homeland Security Grant funds. New Business 10/28/201919-420 CITY OF BANGOR ORDER 10/28/2019 19-420 Sprague Authorizing Execution of a Contract with Radio Communications Management Inc in the Amount of $146,717 for the Acquisition of Dispatch Consoles Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the Finance Director is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Radio Communications Management Inc for the acquisition of dispatch consoles in the amount of $146,717 as well as a maintenance contract for three years.
