Parking, be amended by designating it Section 14:
See.19-14 Regulation of Off -Street Parking Areas. The time and manner of
parking in the off-street
public parking areas owned, leased, or operated by the City of
Bangor may be regulated by Schedule published by the City
Manager with approval by order of the City Council.
13.1 14.1 Shop and Park Lot (Pickering Square) It shall be unlawful
to stop, stand or park
vehicle in the "Shop and Park" Lot (Picerking Square Area
n Merchants Plaza and Water Street) between the hours of
1:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. A fee of ten (10) cents per hour _
shall be charged for parking in this lot, except on Satur-
days, Sundays, and Legal Holidays. Any vehicle parking in
this lot at 6:00 P.M. for which the parking fee has not
been paid shall be assessed for a full nine (9) hours of
parking.
.137171 14_1.1 Any person accused of violation of the provision of
Section 14.1 above in regard to the prohibition of
parking between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M.
may voluntarily waive his or her right to appear and
defend before any court or judicial tribunal the
charge made against him or her for such illegal parking
by paying to the municipality the am of five
dollars ($5.00) within ten (10) days of the time
such alleged offense was committed.
Any person accused ofviolation of the provision of
Section 14.1 above in regard to the assessment of the
parking fee for the full nine hours of parking may
voluntarily waive his or her right to appear and
defend before any court or tribunal the charge made
against him or her for such illegal parking by paying
to the municipality the even of nonety cents (5.90)
within fifteen (15) days of the time such alleged
offense was committed.
STATEMENT OF FACT: The passage of C.O. B 82-41 - "Impounding of Motor
Vehicles" inadvertently caused the above Section
(then numbered "13") to have the same section
umber. This amendment would re -number the above
provision to 14. (Deletions are seraek-eat and
