THAT the attached report of the City Engineer showing the
actual costs and recommended assessments for the construction of
Haskell Road extending east from Hogan Road to the land of Sohn
S. Davis, including the installation of a sanitary sewer, be and
hereby is accepted$ and be it further
ORDERED]
THAT those property owners who contributed a prepayment of
the estimated assessment for construction be proportionately
reimbursed from the balance of funds remaining, as outlined in
said report.

To the Municipal Officers
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 81-166 passed
May 277 1981, which authorized the construction of Haskell Road,
including theinstallation of a sanitary sewer, extending east
from Rogan Road to the property of John J. Davis. All work has
been completed, and a pending claim for additional damages as a
result of right-of-way acquisition has been dropped, so that the
final coats of the project have been determined.
The roadway construction consisted of a 24 -foot wide paved
travel way with 8 -foot gravel shoulders extending in an easterly
direction for a distance of approximately 435 feet from Bogan
Road, and thence in a northerly direction for a distance of
approximately 1,110 feet to the property of John J. Davis. Is
addition, an 8 -inch sanitary sewer was installed along the new
roadway for a distance of 1,071 feet, including the installation
of 4 manholes.
The total actual cost of the roadway construction was
$82$508.00, including right-of-way acquisition and engineering
and the total actual cost of the sewer construction was $15 692.00,
includengineering, for a total project cost of $98,200.(10.
The City s share of the road and sewer construction is fifty
percent, or $41,254.00 for the road and $7,846.00 for the sewer,
and the remaining amounts are to be assessed against the property
owners in proportion to the amount of acreage benefitted, as
follows:

The actual construction cost was less then the original
estimate by approximately fifteen percent. Since the property
owners originally, prepaid their assessments based upon the
estimated cost of coustruction, partial refunds am in order,
as follows:
