Meeting Minutes
City Councilors Present: Nealley, Nichols, Tremble
City Staff Present: Bolduc, T. Collins, Conlow, Emery, Heitmann, LaBree, Lundy
1.Discussion with Sutherland Weston regarding Video Project
Elizabeth Sutherland and Brad LaBree presented regarding the video project and
process. Currently in the information gathering stage now. Three goals: business
recruiting, workforcerecruiting, retention of the same, pride and community spirit.
Councilors suggested AnnetteDodd, Paul Moulton, higher education, business
school, cultural amenities. Staff will look into if the videoscan be played at the
Cross Insurance Center during events.
2.Solar Farm Locations
Airport, UID and G&ISD zones seem ok and appropriate. Councilors were generally
not interested in siting these inRR&A. Staff will work further on language and
definitions.
3.Request to Purchase City Property
Norm Heitmann presentedthe item to the committee. Councilor Tremble moved
staff recommendation, seconded by Councilor Nichols. Vote unless doubted, no
doubt.
4.Amendment to the Lease Agreement with FGS/CMT, Inc.
Steve Bolduc presented the item to the committee. Councilor Tremble moved staff
recommendation, seconded by Councilor Nichols. Vote unless doubted, no doubt.
5.Signs at the Bangor Mall
Councilor Nealley okay with all threeoptions, Councilor Nichols okay with moving
forward with option three, and then look at one and two afterwards. Councilor
Tremble –directional signs on site, staff clarified that some wayfinding signs
already allowed.Staff will work further on language and definitions.
Councilor Nichols moved into Executive Session at 6:14 PM, seconded by
Councilor Nealley.
6.Executive Session–Economic Development –Disposition of Property –
Finson Road-1 M.R.S.A. § 405(6)(C)
Out of Executive Session at 6:15 PM.
No action on above item.
Meeting adjourned at 6:16 PM.
