THAT the attached report of the City Engineer on the layout
of slope easements and drainage easements for improvements on Broad-
way be and hereby is accepted and the easements as described be
established for the purposes as set forth; that the damages recom-
mended are hereby approved for payment.

in two public places in the City of Beggar and in the vicinity of said street, to wit:
One on Balletln Board - Oity Sall
One on Broadway near Alden Street
One on Broadway near Sohool Street
and also gate notice by causing the same to be published in the BANGOR DAILY NEWS, i=="

And that the said City Engineer met at the time and place of meeting specified in the notices
and proceeded to lay out eald as cements as follows:

Granting the right unto the City of Bangor and Its agents
to enter upon the land owned by the Bangor Hydro xlectrio Oompany
outside of the right of way limits and to construct and maintain
elopes of the highway, as long as they are necessary for highway
purposes, on land outside of and adjoining the boundary lines of
Broadway within the area defined by the slope limit lines between
station til + 44 and station 69 + 25, right of the Peas line on
Broadway as shown on Plan Bo. 772 of the Engineering Dept., City
of Bangor.
Total area contains 0.02 acres.
No damages recommended.
Drainage Easement
Also granting the perpetual right to enter upon the land
outside of and adjoining the boundary of Broadway at about
station 67 + 94 for all purposes necessary to Install and maintain
a roadway culvert that extends thereon and to flow water therefrom
in a southeasterly direction.

Creating the right to the City of Bangor and Its agents to
enter upon the land owned by the Singer Poultry Co., Inc. to con-

boundary lines of Broadway within the area defined by the slope
limit lines between station 69 + 25 and station 70 + 75, right of
the Base line on Broadway as shown on Plan No. 772 of the Engineer-
ing Dept., City of Bangor.

maintain elopes of the highway as long as they are necessary for

linea Of Broadway within the limits defined by the elope limit
lines between station 70 + 75 and station 71 + 7b, last mentioned
point being the southerly boundary of "otic Street. All elope
limit lines are to the right of the Base line on Broadway as shown
on Plan No. 772 of the Engineering Dept., City of Bangor.

and maintain elopes of the highway as long as they are necessary

between station 72 + 28, said point being the northerly boundary
line of Arctic Street and station 74 + 56 right of the Base line
of Broadway as shown on Plan No. 772 of the Engineering Dept.,
City of Bangor.

and to flow water through said culvert in a southerly direction.

to construct and maintain elopes of the highway as long as they

77 + 95 right of the Base line of Broadway as shorn on Plan No.
772 of the Engineering Dept., City of Bangor.

within the limits defined by the elope limit lines between station
79 + 45 and station 80 + 30 right of Base line of Broadway as
shown on =a above described Plan No. 772, containing 0.013 acres.

Granting the right unto the City of Bangor and its agents
to enter upon the land owned by Lee B. and Marlon E. poster to
construct and maintain elope$ of the highway as long as they are
necessary for highway purposes on land outside of and adjoining
the boundary lines of Broadway within the areas defined by the
slope limit linea between station 75 + 90 and station 76 + 90 left
of the Base line on Broadway as shown on Plan No. 772 of the
Engineering Dept., City of Bangor.
Area contains 0.02 acres.

There appeared at the time and place set for the meeting,
the following persona;
Mr. Morrie Singer, representing the Singer Poultry Co., Inc.
and Pearl Singer; Ernest R. and Marial S. Bradstreet; Alfred
Campanelll; Judson M. Grant, Jr.; and Lee Foster; and J. T. Frawley,
City Engineer.
Mone of those present objected to the proposed reconstruction,
but Mr. Great, Mr. Singer, Mr. Oampanelli, and Mr. and Mrs. Brad-
street requested that various cuts be allowed in the new granite
curb for future drlvemay entrances. These people ware assured
that curb cute would be provided to their satisfaction provided
that the location Is established prior to the start of construction,
and that the layout conforms to the City Ordinances for driveway
openings. those present were informed that there were no damages
recommended for the slope and drainage easements.
A previous discussion on the subject was held with Mr. Orman
Twitchell, Attorney for Clara Coffin and Mlllird Coffin, and the
details of the proposed construction, as well as the damages
recommended, were made known to him.
A telephone conversation was also held with Mr. Sperber,
a
representative of the Bangor Shopping Center, lnn.,during which
the details of the construction easements and the recommended
damages were explained. Mr. Sperber spoke In favor of the new
construction.
A plan showing the easement areae and the trees to be removed
accompanies this report.
