Introduced and filed by Councilmen BANGTor HvoRO-ET.EoTRlo Co. 33 STATE STREET Roeam N. Rnsasm BAtianox.MAsa EM00eM April 18, 1963 Han. Edward 1. Groes, Chairman Bangor City Council City Bail Bangor, Maine Dear Ed: As the other members of the Council and you know, I have for some time desired to be relieved of the Urban Renewal responsibilities. I have enjoyed my modest part in the Authority organizational work and all phases of the Stillwater Park program that is substantially worked out so far as policy and planning are concerned. But, as you know, on top of my fail time respon- sibilities with Hydro I seem to have acquired too many other part time responsibilities with several other civic, charitable and commercial ventures. It all adds up to a conclusion that in fairness to the second Urban Renewal plan for Bangor some other Bangor citizen should now take my place at this time so that he may be a participant in the important initial recommendations to come to the Council from the Authority. For the records, let's say that my resignation is effective when my successor qualifies. Very truly yours, enR. N. Haskell
