The proposal before the Board is basically three amendment.. e to add a definition to Include a public utility struc- ture, andone standard lotting o exempt public utility structures from the requires screerequirements of the Zoning Ordinance, and ing for public utility structures. - b. The definition restricts these provisions to utilities owned tl operated by a public utility. In addition, these t only apply t structures sq• ft. v4 es with less than 200 require 41onn area and limit it then to 16 feet in height. c. The amendment will also require screening for these struc- tures. The Zoning Ordinance requirements as to where and new public utility structures are to be located will not change under this revision. Presently these structures arenot allowed in theresidential zones. C. Staff woultl find that the proposed revision will allow more flexibility in the locations for these structures but will not change the Planning Board's r allow the Introduc- Ilon an' these structures in inappropriate areas. Staff would recommend that the Planning Board make a favorable -.r mmen tlation to the City Council. eco -
