Director's Report
The Budget review with the City Councii went well, with no ,
revisions. Funds to operate Dakin Swimming Pool were left in the budget.
The Council will review the attendance figures at the pool this summer '
before making a decision on operating Dakin Pool for the long term.
The dedication of Pancoe Aquatic Center is set for 10:00 a.m. �
June 17"'. The Center will open to the public at 1:00 p.m. June 19�'.
Copies of the proposal for a multi-field complex prepared by Bangor �
Soccer Club were distributed to the committee members. The estimated
cost of the project is over four million dollars. A potential site for such a
project has been located on airport property off Union Street. The City �
Council will appoint a committee to study the proposal.
Program Report '
Mighty Might Soccer had 120 participants and was very well �
received.
Instructional T-Ball had 46 participants. '
The Regional Hershey Track and Field Meet is set for Cameron
Stadium on June 22. �

� The Adult Softball Program is underway with approximately 50
, teams participating. The girls softball league with 12 teams will begin
soon.
� , We are currently accepting team registrations for the summer High
School Soccer League.
� The summer supervised playground program will begin June 21".
School Athletic Field Maintenance Report
' Staff consists of the supervisor and three seasonal people working
40 hours a week and two others working 15 hours a week.
' The division maintains school athletic facilities, Cameron Stadium,
including the baseball field, football field and track. They maintain the
1 high school softball field, soccer fields, field hockey field and practice
football field. They also maintain the Doughty Middle School, softball field,
soccer field, baseball field and football field. They provide staff at track
� meets,footbail and softbail games.
There will not be a meeting in July.
� Meeting adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
� Next meeting is August 2, 2004 at 4:00 p.m.
