PUBLIC COMMENTS:Heather McCarthy,Executive Director of the American
Folk Festival presented the Council with a framed poster of this year's festival.
Kathy Day,Judy Brown&Helen Cheney all spoke in support of the nurses at
.Eastern Maine Medical Center. Paul Tromer urged the council to allow voters
to approve the new arena project and questioned why that existing structure
could not be rehabilitated. Ms.Lucy Quimby presented the Councilors with trails
maps and invited them to use the trails. Gary Watson gave information to the
Councilors regarding dome type structures as an alternative building for the
new arena. Mr.Bob Cimbollek urged the council to put the new arena out
to a referendum.
