This amendment would allow for Sandwich Board Signa in the
Downtown Development District, create definitions for directory
signs and industrial/commercial park signs, and incorporate set
back requirements from the Land Development Code.

THAT Chapter VI, Article 3, Section 3, 5.3, 5.4.5, 5.5, 6. 2, 6. 2.3
and 6.2.5 be amended as follows:
Section 3. Definitions:
2 dMScrial or Commercial Park Directory Sign. A froestanding
sign identifying three (3) or more occupants of the Park No

IndustrialCommercial Park An industrial/commercial

Section 5.5 TEMPORPAY SIDEWALK WICH B SIGNS
5.5.1 Quantity. Qne sign per establishment for each street

5.5.3 Location. Minimum distance between signs - 12 feet.
Maximum distance of sign fr= Public entrance of
advertiser - 12 feet. Minimum setback from street curb
is 2 feet. Minimum 15 feet setback from a street or
drive intersection so not to block a motorist's vision.
Under no circumstances shall signs obstruct access to
vehicle stops, benches, fire hydrants, or other street
furnishings. Sidewalk signs are only Permitted in the
Downtown Development District.
5.5.4 Sian Removal. All signs shall be removed nightly.
5.5.5 Permit Sticker. No temoorary sidewalk sign shall be
permitted without approval from the Code Enforcement

5.5.6 Material and Graphics. All signs shall be of an A -frame
type design, shall be constructed of durable, weather -
resistant material and finish, shall have no moving

materials, graphics, and finish shall be of aunified

5.5.7 Violations. In addition to any other Penalty prescribed
by this Ordinance, the City may confiscate any sign found
in violation of Section 5.5 of this Ordinance- snv sign
confiscated Pursuant to this authority shall be returned
upon payment to the City of a $25.00 fee, provided all
other ovisions of Section 5.5 are cmplied with Prior
to return of the elan.
Section 6.2 Signs of Industrial or Commercial Parks. A sign

6.2.5.2 Each Park occupant sign on a sign carrying

length of (10) feet and have a maximum height of 30
inches
