5. Sewer Relocation on Odlin Road.
As part of the State's project in the Odlin Road/Maine Avenue/
Hammond Street area, the City has an existing sewer which will
have to be relocated due to being in conflict with the State's
project. The City Engineer indicated there were two alternatives
for being reimbursed 1008 by the State for the relocation of the
sewer. One is to keep very detailed cost records, subject to an
audit, and the State would pay the City on an actual cost basis
which would be a lengthy process. The second alternative, which
the City Engineer recommended and which the Committee unanimously
recommended, as for the City to enter into an agreement with the
State to pay the City a lump sum based upon the City Engineer's
estimate of $20,248. The lump a= payment would be received
promptly from the State upon execution of the agreement.
