HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-05-21 Planning Board Minutes PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF BANGOR MEETING OF TUESDAY, MAY 21, 1996 MINUTES Board Members Present: Moshe Myerowitz, Chairman Mary Ann Bostwick George Burgoyne Thomas Drummond Carol Woodcock City Staff Present: John Lord Robert Osborne News Media Present: None Chairman Myerowitz called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In the absence of Board Members Hall and MacArthur, Associate Members Bostwick and Woodcock were asked to vote. CONSENT AGENDA As no one wished to remove the items for discussion, Chairman Myerowitz asked for a motion. Mrs. Woodcock moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Mrs. Bostwick seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The items approved were: Item No. 1: Site Development Plan approval to construct a 255 sq. ft. addition at 649 Broadway (former M & M Restaurant) in a Shopping and Personal Service District. Bo Bo's Restaurant, applicant. Item No. 2: Site Development Plan approval to construct two 420 sq. ft. additions to expand the dining and kitchen area of the existing building at 65 South Park Street in a Government and Institutional Service District. The Salvation Army, applicant. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Item No. 3: Planning Board Approval of Minutes of May 7, 1996 Planning Board Meeting The minutes of the May 7, 1996 Planning Board Meeting were approved, as amended, 5 to 0 with several minor changes. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Item No. 4: Planning Board Review of Correspondence and Other Communications From the Planning Office. Planning Officer Lord distributed copies of the results of the Customer Service Survey of applicants and/or their agents for projects during 1994 and 1995, and some zoning amendment pages. Planning Officer Lord noted that the Planning Division had received a copy from the Code Enforcement Office of a 60-day extension for State Farm Insurance located on Longview Drive. Planning Officer Lord noted that Dr. Myerowitz had been reappointed to the Board as a Member and Mrs. Woodcock had been appointed to an additional term as an Associate Member. He reminded these members of the reception and swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. prior to the City Council meeting. There being no further items for discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
