COUNCILOR Public Hearing: Application for Special Amusement License for GREENE Diane M Cormier,DBA Diva's Gentleman's Club, 65 State Street ACTION Motion Made and Seconded to Open the Public Hearing Public Hearing Opened No one from the public came forward Motion Made and Seconded to Close the Public Hearing Public Hearing Closed Motion Made and Seconded for Approval Approved Diane Cormier came forward after the vote and Requested that a councilor initiate an ordinance Change that would allow nudity in establishments that serve alcohol.She pointed out the fact that she has been operating for nine years with no problems. No Councilor came forward Public Hearing: Application for Slot Machine Operator License FARRINGTON Bangor Historic Track, Inc.,d/b/a/Hollywood Slots, 427 Main Street ACTION Motion Made and Seconded to Open the Public Hearing Public Hearing Opened Tom Palmer, Partner in Best Inn Main Street&Lafayette Hotels,noted that the Racino has had a positive impact on the local economy,has supported the community through financial support of the Folk Festival&Chamber of Commerce. Mr Palmer urged council support of the license renewal. During the Public Comment section at the beginning of the meeting, Charlie Birkel spoke in support of Penn National and Bangor Historic Track, recognizing the management Staff and the classy manner in which they operate. Mr.Birkel also requested council support. ACTION Motion Made and Seconded for Passage Mike Robinson, President of Friends of Dakin Pool, announced that they would be kicking off their capital campaign soon, in order to raise funds for a bath house and a new fence. Alicia Nichols stated that collection canisters would be going out soon, and that it would be a fun campaign.
