Harry Rideout presented the Council with a T-shirt signed by many of the returning troops that have come through Bangor International Airport. Approved PUBLIC HEARING: Application for Liquor License, MALT, SPIRITUOUS & VINOUS, 99 Restaurants, LLC d/bla 99 Restaurant -Pub, 8 Bangor Mall Blvd ACTION Motion Made and Seconded to Open Public Hearing. Approved 03-305 ORDER Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement between the City of Bangor and Husson College — John Winkin Baseball Complex ACTION Motion Made and Seconded for Passage Bill Beardsley, President of Husson College, thanked the Council for its support. Nathaniel Rosenblatt, Valley Avenue, objected to Council spending public funds and to the noise issue regarding this project. Leslie Rosenblatt, Valley Avenue, presented a letter to the Council which was signed by residents of the neighborhood that may be ' affected by the new stadium. Andrew Hamilton, attorney representing Husson College, stated that many of the issues regarding this project would be addressed at a Special Planning Board meeting tomorrow night. Chip Hutchins, owner of the Lumberjacks, stated that he may move up the starting time of the games and will strive to be a `good neighbor" to the residents of the area. Steve Thomas, landlord in this area, expressed concerns regarding noise levels. Motion for Passage Doubted Vote: 7 yes, I no, 1 absent Councilors voting yes: Allen, Crowley, Farnham, Nealley, Palmer, Rohman and Tremble Councilor voting no: Farrington Councilor absent: Greene Passed 03-306 ORDER Directing City Staff to Take the Necessary Steps to Construct a Headquarters Building for the Bangor Police Department ACTION Motion Made and Seconded for Passage Motion Made and Seconded to Amend by Inserting the words "240 Main Street" in the space provided Councilor Rohman abstained from discussion and vote due to previously established conflict Nick Burse, Dillingham Street, did not feel that location impacted service and stated that the issue of a visible location might not be in the best interest of the taxpayers.
