Proclamation: Proclaimed October 20-26, 2013, as Friends of Libraries Week in Bangor
Recognition: Mark Hathaway, Police Chief, introduced Lieutenant Robert Bishop who was recently
promoted within the Bangor Police Department
Motion made and seconded to suspend the rules to move Order 13-341
to the front of the agenda.

13-341 ORDER Authorizing the City Manager to accept two (2) bullet resistant CIVIELLO
protective vests for the police department canine unit

Passed
Bangor Police Department canine, Lex, made an appearance at the
City Council meeting. He will be the recipient of one of the bullet
resistant protective vests.
PUBLIC COMMENT Lucy Quimby, member of the Bangor Land Trust, thanked city staff
for its work and remarked that Bangor appears on two attractive city
lists.
