COUNCILOR Called to Order at 7:30 PM Chaired by Council Chair Weston Councilors Present: All Except Gallant Adjourned at 10:00 PM Recognition: Recognizing the 2011-2012 Bangor High Boys Swimming and Diving Team Presentation: Elks Club presentation of the national Enrique “Kiki” Camarena Award to Lt. Thomas Reagan of the Bangor Police Department PUBLIC COMMENT: Shane Woodard informed the City Council that the Maine People’s Resource Center was canvassing door-to-door in Bangor educating residents on the National Care Act. Residents may call 1-800-965-7476 for more information. Jeffery Ellis, 178 Ohio Street, thanked the City Council For its support and assistance while he was a journalist For the Citizen Journal. Charles Boothby, 249 Kenduskeag Avenue, asked that the “Continuity of Community” sculpture not be placed in the flood plain. Brenda Sylvester of Community Housing of Maine explained the organization’s intended use of the property. Vote: 0-8 Councilors Voting Yes: None Councilors Voting No: Baldacci, Blanchette, Durgin, Gratwick, Longo, Hawes, Sprague, Weston Councilor Absent: Gallant Motion failed.
