PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. 198 Exchange Street – Eriel Coulter (Details by Eriel)
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to
install a projecting sign.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a
vote of 5 to 0.
2 107 Court Street – Gary L. Frost on behalf of Prentiss and Carlisle
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to construct a new three
story, wood framed addition to expand business space. The proposal is a modification to
the previously approved project.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
2. 42 Broadway – John Bapst
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to renovate the garage
area for dormitory space, replace and relocate windows and infill door openings.
Action Taken: After much discussion about the appropriateness of the proposal to infill
the garage door openings, a Certificate of Appropriateness approval was granted by a
vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that the applicant maintains the two carriage door
openings and seek approval at a later date for the style of infill and the door(s) at the
garage door openings, and to use a wooden door instead of a fiberglass door. ith the
condition that appropriate hand railing meet code, if applicable, and that the project
commences within six months and completed within one year.
