Walsh, Jr. Historical Consultant Present: Bob Kelly City Staff Present: Jeremy P. Martin PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. 198 Exchange Street – Eriel Coulter (Details by Eriel) To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to install a projecting sign. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 2 107 Court Street – Gary L. Frost on behalf of Prentiss and Carlisle To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to construct a new three story, wood framed addition to expand business space. The proposal is a modification to the previously approved project. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 2. 42 Broadway – John Bapst To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to renovate the garage area for dormitory space, replace and relocate windows and infill door openings. Action Taken: After much discussion about the appropriateness of the proposal to infill the garage door openings, a Certificate of Appropriateness approval was granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that the applicant maintains the two carriage door openings and seek approval at a later date for the style of infill and the door(s) at the garage door openings, and to use a wooden door instead of a fiberglass door. ith the condition that appropriate hand railing meet code, if applicable, and that the project commences within six months and completed within one year. rd The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the 3 floor Council Chambers.
