Paul Pasquine Wayne Mallar Associate Member Present: Karen Hornberger Don Lewis III Commission Consultant Present: Bob Kelly City Staff Present: Jeremy Martin PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. 44 Broadway – BHC Consulting Group To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a sign. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 2. 9 Central Street – Stephen C. Smith To consider a request for Design Review approval to install signs. Action Taken: Applicant did not appear. Application tabled. 3. 73 Central Street – Ofelia’s To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to install window signage. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that only one Ofelia’s Resale Shop sign be installed due to Sign Code limitations and the signage on the Kenduskeag Stream door be limited to 6” in letter height. 4. 69 Highland Avenue – Daniel F. Shreeve To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace garage door, change adjacent doorway to window, with insertion of matching windows on one side. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 5. 46 Main Street – Treworgy & Baldacci To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to replace nine windows. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 6. 193 Exchange Street – Paradigm Developments LLC To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to build a shroud to enclose rooftop HVAC. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0. The approval includes the installation of a new rubber membrane roof on 187 Exchange Street to replace the existing gravel roof. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor Council Chambers.
