PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. 128 Hammond Street – Laura Dietz d/b/a The Earth First Gallery
To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a wall sign.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
2. 174 Main Street – Bangor House Proprietary
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace the sixth
floor balcony deck including roof membrane due to severe leaking.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
3. 163 Broadway – Jennifer Bailey and Travis LaCombe
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace roof with
Tamko Heritage Architectural 30 year self-sealing asphalt shingles, and cut and repoint
chimneys (2) from the rood up, possible replacing the first 3 to 4 bands at the top if
necessary.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the
condition / recommendation that an appropriate slate color shade of shingle be utilized.
4. 58 Hammond Street – City of Bangor
To consider a request for Design Review approval to reconstruct the parking deck at the
corner of Hammond and Columbia Streets.
Action Taken: Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
5. 157 Broadway – House Revivers, Inc.
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval for renovations. This
application is a change from plans approved at the May meeting. 1.) Install one window
on East (parking lot) side and one on the South side over porch rather than two windows
as approved. 2.) Replace second floor window with same size 6/6 as approved for other
second floor windows rather than same window as approved. 3.) Remove porch door
only and leave existing windows as they are.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
6. 131 Main Street - House Revivers, Inc.
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval for
renovations. Proposed work includes: repoint front façade, replace cast concrete lintels &
features, install new doors and windows, repair most side and rear exit doors, replace 1
set side doors and rear overhead door, rear exit door.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a
vote of 5 to 0.
The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor Council
Chambers.
