Phillipon To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness to add a full view glass storm door. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 2. 55 Summer Street – Vincent and Eugenia Franco To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to replace three wood frame 9/6 double hung windows in the ell section with Norwood wood frame double hung 9/6 windows; replace aluminum storm windows on main part of house as needed. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that the Norwood windows are black and the storm windows be oriel triple track with aluminum mill finish. 3. 202 Exchange – Oliver Holdings LLC To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to install a fixed awning with signage. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0, pending approval of color within three weeks. 4. 9 Central Street – Giacomo’s Groceria To consider a request for Design Review approval to replace a door, replace seven windows on the first floor, remove awnings, replace seven windows above removed awnings in location where windows preexisted. Action Taken: Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that the work be completed as detailed in the application materials. 5. 61 Main Street – Pinnacle Development Group To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to install a second floor window sign. Action Taken: Application withdrawn by applicant. Discussion Items: 1. 1 Main Street – Removal of awning/marquee – Staff informed Commission that due to life safety concerns the awning at 1 Main Street (Thai Siam) will be removed. Once work is completed, Owner, Greg Lovely, will bring a façade treatment to the Commission. 2. Outer State Street Historic District Survey Update – Sara Martin provided an update on the final Outer State Street Survey project and on her recommendations on where to go from here. . The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor Council Chambers.
